Fabric Covered Buttons

I have some fabric covered buttons listed over at Ashley's Trinkets. You can use these for buttons, or to make cute magnets, bobby pins, push pins, rings, pony tail holders, scrapbooking embellishments, necklace, bookmark, key chain, the possiblities are endless!

Ashley took this picture of Dolly. It reminds me of those Hallmark cards, Twisted Whiskers. lol! It's a little dark, so I'm going to try to take another picture of her like that. Ashley said she just put the camera close to Dolly and of course she moved in close to smell it like all cats do. lol! I just had to share it. :)

Blessings,
Connie

Hubby Has A Job!

Thank the good Lord, he started this Monday! We're so relieved. Thank you to all of you special people out there who helped us out by purchasing from us during the LAYOFF SALE, and for all the warm wishes, prayers, and encouragement. It's been pretty weird here the last couple of years. Hubby also lost his job of 15 years last year do to down sizing in the company, they closed the office where he worked. The the job he recently was laid off from, it was just do to lack of work that they had to let him and some others go. Anyway, we're so thankful and happy that he has this new job, I just thought I'd let everyone know. :)

Blessings to you all,
Connie

Hubby is Laid Off

My hubby just got laid off from his job, well they said that they would call him back if work picked up, but it doesn't really look like that is going to happen in the near future. So, to help out around here I have decided to drastically reduce all my items. Anything you purchased from us will be greatly appreciated. Here's my shop url: ashleystrinkets.etsy.com

Michael Miller Grocery Bag Holder

I LOVE Michael Miller fabric! I bought this fabric from homegrownpillows and thought it would make a beautiful plastic grocery bag holder. You can check it out in the shop right HERE.

I've been battling the seasonal allergies again. YUCK! but I'm doing better. :) I have n't blogged as much as I've wanted to. I'm going to be in my very first craft show June 6th. It's called The Clack Mountain Festival. They have a cool website for it HERE. Ralph Stanley is going to be there! I'm so excited and scared at the same time. I hope I do well selling my wares and handing out business cards galore. lol! So, if you don't here me blogging for a while, you know what I'm doing, sewing, sewing, sewing. :)

Until next time,
Connie

Cool Compass Ring

I thought I'd share a cute ring I made. Ashley loves Nancy Drew and anything that is connected to Nancy Drew. So when I saw this tiny compass, I thought it would make a cute ring. It's up for sale in our etsy shop here.

Also, have you ever made cupcakes for a cat? Well, I did yesterday. Ashley's cat, Dolly turned one year old yesterday, or so we think. We adopted her from a rescue shelter last year and I asked the guy there if he knew how old she was. He said about 6 weeks old so we counted back 6 weeks and designated May 12th as Dolly's birthday. Ashley wanted cupcakes and a present for Dolly. Ashley picked out a remote control mouse as the present for Dolly, and when she started it up Dolly tried to sit on it to get it stop! lol!

Here's our sweet, mischievous Dolly...

Talk to ya later!

New Key Fob Wristlet

Ashleys and I LOVE any fabric that is damask, and here some fabric I used for a key fob wristlet. If you haven't heard of key fob wristlets this is what they are....

Key Fob Wristlets are key fobs that are made with a strap big enough to slip onto your hand. So if you don't want to hold your keys for what ever reason, you can just slip it onto your wrist. :)

Check more out here that I've made. Remember questions and custom orders are always welcomed.

Blessings,
Connie

Hello and Welcome :)

Hello :)
My name is Connie and I am a WAHM of a sweet little girl named Ashley. I'm owner and operator of www.ashleystrinkets.etsy.com. I have decided to use this blog for updated info, coupons, new items, etc. that goes on at Ashley's Trinkets, plus share with you a little bit of our life here in Eastern Kentucky. Also, I will be sharing with you a great place to buy and sell handmade items: Etsy! I absolutely LOVE Etsy! There are so many talented artisans that offer just a hodge podge of wonderful items. But first I want to introduce you to my inspiration: Ashley!

This past Saturday we went to Rowan County Public Library for a Fancy Nancy Party. You were to bring your Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Sister, etc. and dress up like Fancy Nancy. I made Ashley a pillowcase dress from Timeless Treasures, Paris Sightseeing Pink Parfait because if your a Fancy Nancy fan you know that Fancy Nancy just LOVES Paris. :) So here's my "Fancy Nancy"....

I found Ashley some Eiffel tower earrings and a matching necklace.

but Ashley is not just all fancy all the time. Ashley and her Daddy are converting our dog lot into a chicken lot. So this is what she changed into when we got home from the Fancy Nancy party so she could help him work on it...

Then here is Ashley yesterday playing in our yard with her tool box either pretending to be Kit Kittredge, Nancy Drew, Lucy or Susan from Narnia, or just plan Ashley, the little girl that just likes to dig in the dirt. :)

I'm still not sure why she had to have my flower bed wire to wrap around that tree...it has something to do with terabithia. lol! Ashley has a wonderful imagination. So that why when you go to ashleystrinkets.etsy.com I eventually will have items that are girly, hippie, punk, country, vintage, retro, and sweet, because that's what are Ashley is, all rolled into one. :)

Thanks for reading and feel free to leave a comment or question.
